Building Permits

According to the Construction Codes Act, the owner is responsible to ensure their building is designed and constructed to standard.

Apply for a Building Permit before starting. It initiates a Plan Review, to assess your design against the standards. Permits are required for many construction items including new construction, renovations that alter the structure of the building, basement development, demolishing a building and more.

A permit protects you and your project!

  • SAFETY: Guarantees your project meets building codes and safety standards

  • PEACE OF MIND: Makes certain that the work is done correctly
